This week… a little something from the final Alphas’ Homestead book which tells Ephraim’s story, from when he arrives in Lastford to the conclusion of the series. In this snippet, Seth being…well, Seth. God, I miss him.
Ephraim huffed out a laugh. “I’m surprised you find the time yourself. Although I’m not sure there’s enough gossip in Lastford to fill one envelope.”
“I try to pad out the content with bawdy verses and explicit marital advice where I can.” Seth smirked at Ephraim’s shocked laughter. “I have a reputation to maintain, you know. Who else will corrupt the boy, if not me?”
“I’m sure Samuel appreciates your efforts.”
Ephraim meant to be sarcastic but was surprised at the triumphant look on Seth’s face. “I’ll have you know I have a letter from Sam expressing that very sentiment.” He snapped one of Ephraim’s braces like they were children again and not men with gray starting to show in their beards.
