I’ve been shockingly lax at doing these lately. But I made it today!

This week’s snippet is from a little something that I’m submitting this month so hopefully I’ll have news on it soon.
He shook out the icepack and rewrapped it. But when he held it up to place it back under Ty’s eye, he realized Ty had been staring at him the whole time. As Caden pressed the pack gently to the bruising that was starting to come up, Ty said softly, “I’ve thought about this a lot, y’know.”
Caden huffed out a laugh. “What? Breaking your face?”
Ty shook his head. “No. Having you here. Being with you. Alone.”
Caden closed his eyes and shuddered. He took a deep breath. “My daddy always used to say, if it ain’t true, don’t say it.” He jumped when Ty’s hand closed over his.
When he opened his eyes, Ty look as serious as all hell. “Well, I’m saying it.”
Sounds like Caden ought to believe him.
