Rainbow Snippets – 23.04.17

A little late to the party but at least I remembered this week.
If you’re new to Rainbow Snippets, it’s a Facebook group where authors of LGBTQ fiction post a six-sentence snippet of a WIP, a published story, or a recommendation, every weekend. You can see all the snippets here.

This week’s snippet is from Gazes Into You. And if you like it, you can find buy links over here.

“Get in.” John opened his mouth to protest but Jason held up his finger. “I am in pain and I’m cranky—and I need you. Get in.”

John stood still for a moment. Jason could see the conflict playing out on his face. He was sure that John was going to refuse and insist on sleeping in the office. Instead, John slipped out of his jeans and slipped under the sheets. He looked so awkward getting into his own bed that Jason actually felt a little sorry for him, especially when John tried his best to lie down without touching Jason.

Love the awkwardness, but I mostly loved “I am in pain and I’m cranky.”
