Rainbow Snippets – 16.03.19

If you’re new to Rainbow Snippets, it’s a Facebook group where authors of LGBTQ fiction post a six-sentence snippet (or there abouts) from a WIP, a published story, or a recommendation, every weekend. You can see all the snippets here.

This week… a little something from the final Alphas’ Homestead book which tells Ephraim’s story, from when he arrives in Lastford to the conclusion of the series. In this snippet, the boys make up before the start of Be My Sanctuary.

Joshua had reached for the water bag, stretching across Ephraim to get it and Ephraim simply closed the distance and pressed their lips together. Joshua didn’t react at first. Then he gulped and stuttered and blushed and Ephraim was glad he hadn’t waited any longer. When Ephraim touched Joshua’s cheek gently, it calmed him enough to say, “Taking it slow, right?”
Ephraim nodded. “Yeah. Slow.”
He sincerely meant it. For all of five minutes. But they ended the day rolling in the grass with their trousers around their ankles anyway.
